Services

Sea Freight

The majority of our moves are shipped on freighters. This takes anywhere from 5 to 12 weeks, depending on where you are moving.

Air Freight

We also offer shipping via planes. This method is much faster than sea freight, so if you are in a time crunch, this is the way to go. However, this method is significantly more expensive.

Land Transport

Lincoln also specializes in moving customers' shipments to Mexico and Canada by truck, which can take 2 to 4 weeks, depending on customs and destination.

Auto Shipping

We ship cars, motorcycles, and other motorized vehicles internationally. In many countries, title validation is required for customs clearance, so we include this in our auto shipping services.

Storage

We offer temporary or long-term storage both in the US and abroad. Your items will be delivered to you when you need them, either by us or by our trusted partners.

Customs Clearance Management

Our International Moving Packages include:

Customs clearance management, including import and export customs clearance, to most countries
Guiding you through the process for certain countries like Canada that do not allow third parties to submit customs clearance.
Title validation process for customs clearance on automobiles and motorcycles.

Packing

Full packing services are included with every international move.

Professional packers will arrive at your home to pack your items
Everything is strategically packed in boxes.
Furniture and larger items are carefully wrapped in padded paper.

All our moving valuation and insurance packages require your items to be carrier-packed, meaning they are packed by our trusted partners or us.

Storage

We offer storage options in the United States and in most countries with our trusted partners.

US Storage: We can store your items anywhere in the US, which is especially helpful if you plan to move back to the US after a year or two.

International Storage: If your permanent housing is not available or will not be when your items arrive, we have partners in most countries who will move your items into storage and deliver them when needed.

Valuation

Lincoln Moving & Storage offers two valuation coverage options for international moves.

Replacement Value Coverage: Lost or damaged items are reimbursed at $8 per pound. Items valued at $500 or more must be declared individually to receive full value reimbursement.

Valued Inventory Coverage: You declare the value of each item you’re shipping. Items under $500, such as clothing or kitchen items, can be grouped together. You’ll be reimbursed based on the declared value of any lost or damaged items.

The cost of insurance will be based on the value you determine.

Important Note: Both options require carrier packing by Lincoln or our trusted partners. We do not offer valuation coverage for self-packed items on international moves.

Lincoln International extends our trusted service to customers moving anywhere in the world.

Our international division is led by Mary Bishop, our dedicated international move manager, who has over 10 years of experience and works exclusively on international relocations. Mary is also recognized by the IAM as an IAM Trusted Moving Specialist, a designation she earned in 2025.
